How do I stay awake in class when I am tired from training?
Rhema Adelaja · National Champion & 4x DUX
Being tired in class is a signal, not a flaw. Use quick fixes in the moment, then fix the cause: protect your sleep, eat regularly and plan your evenings around training. If you are tired most days, tell a parent or doctor.
The answer
- In the moment: sit near the front, stay engaged, move at breaks and drink water.
- Eat breakfast and have a snack ready for the afternoon.
- Fix the cause: set a bedtime first, then book study around it.
- Set a hard stop for homework so it does not eat into your sleep.
- Study in timed blocks with short breaks. Rhema uses 50 minutes on and 10 minutes off after training.
- Rhema's own way through tired days: sleep and meditation on scriptures.
If you are tired most days, even with good sleep, tell a parent or doctor.
