How do I know when a study session is finished?
Rhema Adelaja · National Champion & 4x DUX
Set an outcome before you start, not only a time. A specific finish line, like "finish twelve practice questions", tells you when the session is done.
The answer
- In sport you know when you are done: you cross the line or hit the time. Study has no finish line unless you build one.
- Before you start, write one outcome. For example: finish these twelve practice questions; write the full introduction and first paragraph; summarise this topic into one page of notes.
- Work until that outcome is done, then stop.
- The difference is a clearer finish, not more hours.
